Abstract
Abstract Colored silicate glass compositions particularly in the form of frit containing chromium oxide and manganese oxide and wherein the ratio of manganese to chromium is expressed on the basis of a weight ratio of manganous oxide, MnO, to chromic oxide, Cr2O3, and ranges from 13.6:1 to 1:1. The compositions can be used for manufacturing a variety of glass articles of commerce and may be used as frit colorant additions for coloring essentially colorless base glasses.
