Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 121 words
A combination of a rod and a fastening pin specifically designed for use in conjunction with said rod for use in cold permanent waving, the rod having a substantially hollow cylindrical shape and a plurality of slots circumferentially spaced in the proximity of both tips thereof, and the fastening pin having an elastically deformable neck, a leg extending from the neck, and a dent formed at the connecting portion of the neck and the leg, with the leg of the fastening pin penetrating into the rod in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rod through the slots and the dent in the fastening pin engaging elastically the tip of the rod, thereby fixing the pin to the rod.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 121 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 26 words
The combination as defined in claim 1 wherein the outer diameter of the rod at both tips decreases gradually toward the center of the body thereof.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
The combination as defined in claim 1 wherein the rod is provided with a plurality of protrusions at both tips to prevent slippage.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
The combination of claim 1 wherein a pair of long openings is provided at the center of the body of the rod.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 24 words
The combination as defined in claim 1 wherein the rod is provided with a plurality of holes at the center of the body thereof.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 25 words
The combination of claim 1 wherein the plurality of slots for the fastening pin is extended to the center of the body of the rod.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 19 words
The combination of claim 1 wherein a number of pores is provided over the entire body of the rod.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 15 words
The combination as defined in claim 1 wherein the rod is made of synthetic resins.
