Abstract
Abstract In a process comprising scrubbing in a column cracking gas containing CO2, H2S and resin precursors with aqueous alkaline scrubbing solution to absorb CO2 and H2S and thermally regenerating resultant loaded aqueous solution, the improvement comprising separating resin precursors from the aqueous solution prior to or during the regeneration of said solution. Settling, stripping, and solvent extraction techniques are employed.
