Abstract

Abstract A photoconductive body for electrophotography and methods of manufacturing the same. The present invention provides a high sensitivity photoconductive powder of CdS or CdSe by activating powder particles with a surface treatment to provide a potential barrier susceptible to the light, to improve trap level of the surface of the particles and to increase the quantum efficiency of the particles.
