Abstract
Abstract A castor for use on a pile carpet can be constructed so as to include a plurality of separate, spaced bosses extending from the surface of a cylindrical wheel or roller used in the castor. In use such bosses distribute the weight transmitted to the carpet through the wheel unevenly in such a manner as to prevent any significant matting of the pile of the carpet.
