Abstract

Abstract Raw water is clarified when it is treated with an effective amount of a polyquaternary flocculant obtained from the reaction of an epoxy compound and a secondary amine until a solution viscosity of at least 100 centistokes at 25*C. is obtained as a 37% solids solution, by weight, based on the cationic portion of the polyquaternary compound.
