Abstract
Abstract A gas turbine engine of the by-pass type including a rotor, having adjustable blades, which is rotatable in the by-pass duct of the engine. The rotor is of self-contained form in that all of the components for normal adjustment of the blades are carried wholly by the rotor so as to be rotatable therewith and signals for initiating blade adjustment are transmitted by way of input means which extend from non-rotative engine structure to the rotor.
