Abstract

Abstract A viscous non-tacky friction coating or deposit is provided on the threads of a threaded part to frictionally oppose separation of the coated part from a mating threaded member. The coating comprises a mixture of one or more suitable acrylic resins, and silicone or a polyamide. In one embodiment the resin includes finely divided material such as nylon plastic which cooperates with the viscous resin material to provide a sealant impervious to relatively high gas pressure.
