Abstract

Abstract Tetrachloro aniline is dehalogenated with hydrogen in the presence of a mild or gentle hydrogenation catalyst, such as copper or silver salt, at 280*-420* to produce various chlorinated aniline compounds almost 100% of which are chlorinated at the 3 or meta position.
