Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 66 words
A mulch comprising an open-mesh knitted fabric constituted by a multiplicity of knittedly interconnected longitudinal and transverse yarn elements, said fabric having at least one irrigation tube and a multiplicity of parallel strips between longitudinal yarn elements and interleaved with transverse yarn elements of said fabric, said strips being substantially wider than said yarn elements and occupying a major portion of the area of the fabric.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 66 words
A mulch comprising an open-mesh knitted fabric constituted by a multiplicity of knittedly interconnected longitudinal and transverse yarn elements, said fabric having at least one irrigation tube and a multiplicity of parallel strips between longitudinal yarn elements and interleaved with transverse yarn elements of said fabric, said strips being substantially wider than said yarn elements and occupying a major portion of the area of the fabric.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 19 words
A mulch in accordance with claim 1, wherein said strips are composed at least in part of paper material.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 20 words
A mulch in accordance with claim 1, wherein said strips are composed at least in part of a plastic material.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 12 words
A mulch in accordance with claim 1, wherein said strips are light-reflecting.
Claim 6
Independent Claim 73 words
A method of mulching which comprises providing an open-mesh knitted fabric constituted by a multiplicity of knittedly interconnected longitudinal and transverse yarn elements, said fabric having a multiplicity of parallel strips between longitudinal yarn elements and interleaved with transverse yarn elements of said fabric, said strips being substantially wider than said yarn elements and occupying a major portion of the area of the fabric, and covering an area of ground with said mulch.
Claim 7
Independent Claim 73 words
A method of mulching which comprises providing an open-mesh knitted fabric constituted by a multiplicity of knittedly interconnected longitudinal and transverse yarn elements, said fabric having a multiplicity of parallel strips between longitudinal yarn elements and interleaved with transverse yarn elements of said fabric, said strips being substantially wider than said yarn elements and occupying a major portion of the area of the fabric, and covering an area of ground with said mulch.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 28 words
A method in accordance with claim 5, wherein said strips are composed of a material selected from the group consisting of metal foil, plastic, paper, and combinations thereof.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 45 words
A method in accordance with claim 5 wherein said fabric is provided with at least one porous irrigation tube extending between longitudinal yarn elements and interleaved with transverse yarn elements of said fabric, and wherein said tube is connected to an external supply of water.
