Abstract
Abstract An improved process for the extraction of proteins, other nitrogenous substances and lipids from bones, including bones with adherent meat is described. The particular features of the invention are that the bones are very finely comminuted and mixed with at least 60 percent by weight of water and/or ice such that the proteins and like substances are dissolved and dispersed in the water.
