Abstract

Abstract A process for producing a silver salt of an organic carboxylic acid which comprises mixing an aqueous silver nitrate solution or an aqueous silver complex solution with an organic carboxylic acid solution in the presence of a lead compound(s) and/or a mercury compound(s) to obtain the salt of the organic carboxylic acid. The product is employed in a thermally developable lightsensitive element.
