Abstract
Abstract Light colored and thermostable chloropolyolefins are obtained by chlorinating a polyethylene or a polypropylene or a copolymer of ethylene with an Alpha -olefin having 3 to 6 carbon atoms in a fluidized or moving bed with gaseous chlorine in the presence of a small amount of a carboxylic acid, an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt, or an anhydride thereof.
