Abstract
Abstract A cutter accessory adapted to be used with portable power tools for cutting holes in sheet material such as wallboard and panelling. The device includes a housing; an endless chain disposed in the housing for rotation therein, and a plurality of cutting edges carried by the chain and extending forwardly from the housing. A drive member located in the housing is adapted for coupling to a rotary power source such as a drill for driving the chain. Improvements are described which permit the hole to have any desired shape (e.g. rectangular), to be stable against motion in the plane of the workpiece and to facilitate centering of the cutter on a desired location.
