Abstract

Abstract Uniform, finely divided powdery vinyl chloride polymer particles containing less than 2 wt. % particles having a diameter greater than 40 Mu are obtained by spray-drying an aqueous dispersion of the polymer and a carrier gas through a two-fluid atomizer into a water-evaporating atmosphere at specified rates. The resultant polymer particles exhibit inproved handling properties and can be used to form improved plastisols without air separation of the particles.
