Abstract Flame and smoke retardant vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride polymer compositions are obtained by including therein a compound selected from the group consisting of AlB12, Cr2S3, Cu3N, Cu2S, CuS, FeS, MoB2, SnS2, TiB2 and mixtures thereof.
