Abstract
Abstract Supported platinum group metal-tin hydrocarbon conversion catalysts are prepared by (1) impregnating a refractory inorganic oxide support with an aqueous solution of a halogen acid containing a platinum group metal component; (2) drying the platinum group metal impregnated carrier; (3) impregnating the dried platinum group metal impregnate with a solution of a divalent tin compound in a non-oxidizing and non-reducing atmosphere; and (4) drying the resulting impregnate.
