Abstract
Abstract There are provided compounds of the formula WHEREIN X is a straight chain alkylene group containing from 3 to 7 carbon atoms and is unsubstituted or is substituted by one hydroxy group, E is a carboxy group AND R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and are hydrogen, hydroxy, methoxy, benzyloxy, acetyl, acetylamino, allyl or propyl AND R4 is hydrogen, allyl or propyl, AND PHARMACEUTICALLY ACCEPTABLE SALTS THEREOF. The compounds are indicated for use as antagonists of SRS-A, the slow reacting substance of anaphylaxis.
