Abstract The present invention concerns substituted oxindoles of the formula: WHEREIN R1 is hydrogen or alkyl, both groups R2 are the same and are each hydrogen or alkyl, N IS AN INTEGER FROM 1 TO 8, AND R3 and R4, which are the same or different, are each hydrogen or a carbonyl containing group USEFUL, INTER ALIA, IN THE TREATMENT OF Angina pectoris and heart rhythm disorders.
