Abstract
Abstract N-substituted-4-alkoxynaphthalimides whose N-substituents are selected from substituted alkyl and unsubstituted or substituted cycloalkyl, aralkyl and heteroalkyl radicals. The compounds are useful as optical brighteners, particularly for acrylonitrile polymers, cellulose esters and polyesters.
