Abstract
Abstract A solution of thermosetting polymer particles containing insoluble microgel particles is formed by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing hydroxyl groups in a non-solvent for the polymer in the presence of a multifunctional dispersion stabilizer and the resultant dispersion is transformed into a sprayable solution by the addition of active solvents. The solutions are especially useful as automotive coatings.
