Abstract
Abstract Salts of 3-hydroxy-2-hydroxymethyl-propane sulfonic acid-1 and a process for the preparation thereof by reaction of 2-methylenepropane-1,3-diol with a bisulfite under special conditions, the use of these salts as co-condensable substances as monomers for polyurethanes and as valuable intermediate products for other organic syntheses are disclosed.
