Abstract

Abstract A cartridge card tray for holding a pack of information cards both in storage and on line in a card sorting apparatus. A card locking bar is connected to a lever movable between an open position for leaving the front end of the tray unobstructed and a blocking position at which the bar blocks the front end to prevent card removal. A handle on the tray is movable between a raised operative position and a retracted inoperative position. The lever, when in the open position, locks the handle in its retracted inoperative position. A lift bar on the tray is engaged by the lever in the open position to in turn cooperate with a cam on the card sorting apparatus to move the tray vertically to brace it against horizontal front to rear movement.
