Abstract

Abstract A conveyor is adjacent the intersecting lower blades of a corner shearing machine, to support a portion of sheet metal to be sheared. The sheet is clamped to the tops of the lower blades immediately outside the cutting edges. The conveyor is then tipped downward, accommodating the downward movement of the upper shearing blades, but receiving the sheared blank thereon and conveying it away from the blades. As the upper shearing blades rise, so does the conveyor for reception of another portion of the sheet thereon, to be sheared from the sheet. A diagonal actuator is provided to open scrap slots for discharge of scrap strips downward past the conveyor.
