Abstract

Abstract A process for producing a fine-ground fluorspar in briquette form in which the fine-ground fluorspar is intimately mixed with from 0.5 to 6% by weight of molasses after which the mixture is further mixed with from 0.5 to 5% by weight of cement at room temperature and the resultant mixture is compressed into briquettes.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 34 words
A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PRESSED BRIQUETTES COMPRISING MIXING POWDERED FLUORSPAR WITH FROM 0.5 TO 6% BY WEIGHT OF MOLASSES AND 0.5 TO 5% BY WEIGHT OF CEMENT AND COMPRESSING THE RESULTANT MIXTURE INTO BRIQUETTES.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 34 words
A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PRESSED BRIQUETTES COMPRISING MIXING POWDERED FLUORSPAR WITH FROM 0.5 TO 6% BY WEIGHT OF MOLASSES AND 0.5 TO 5% BY WEIGHT OF CEMENT AND COMPRESSING THE RESULTANT MIXTURE INTO BRIQUETTES.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 42 words
The process according to claim 1, in which the powdered fluorspar has a particle size of at most 4mm and the molasses is intimately mixed with the fluorspar after which the cement is mixed with the molasses and fluorspar at room temperature.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 21 words
The process according to claim 2, in which 4% by weight of molasses and 2% by weight of cement is utilized.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 21 words
The process according to claim 1, in which the material is pressed into briquettes with the aid of a briquette roller.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
Pressed briquettes comprising fine-grained fluorspar, from 0.5 to 6% by weight of molasses and 0.5 to 5% by weight of cement.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 21 words
Pressed briquettes comprising fine-grained fluorspar, from 0.5 to 6% by weight of molasses and 0.5 to 5% by weight of cement.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 53 words
A process for adding fluorspar to the contents of a convertor or casting ladle, comprising passing the fluorspar to the convertor or casting ladle in the form of briquettes, which are composed of fine-grained aggregates with as binder 0.5% to 6% by weight of molasses and 0.5% to 5% by weight of cement.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 53 words
A process for adding fluorspar to the contents of a convertor or casting ladle, comprising passing the fluorspar to the convertor or casting ladle in the form of briquettes, which are composed of fine-grained aggregates with as binder 0.5% to 6% by weight of molasses and 0.5% to 5% by weight of cement.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 50 words
A process for producing pressed briquettes from powdered substances selected from the group consisting of ferro-manganese, ferro-silicon, calcium flux-mixtures and colemanite coMprising mixing said powdered substance with from 0.5 to 6% by weight of molasses and 0.5 to 5% by weight of cement and compressing the resultant mixture into briquettes.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 50 words
A process for producing pressed briquettes from powdered substances selected from the group consisting of ferro-manganese, ferro-silicon, calcium flux-mixtures and colemanite coMprising mixing said powdered substance with from 0.5 to 6% by weight of molasses and 0.5 to 5% by weight of cement and compressing the resultant mixture into briquettes.
