Abstract

Abstract Motor includes stator assembly having windings supported on a number of secured together adjacent laminations. A rigid mass of particulate material permeated by adhesive bonding material is adhesively secured to stator assembly and provides a path for effective transfer of heat from the stator assembly. Barrier arrangement, substantially impermeable to a pumped fluid admitted to the interior of the motor, cover or line the bore of the stator assembly and define at least part of the finished bore of the motor. Also disclosed are structures that include securing arrangement, e.g., fastener, termination, and ground path securing arrangement. This may be an insulative material body or metallic member supported on the magnetic core. The metallic or insulative body are mechanically secured to the core. Mold members or parts thereof prevent the formation of a rigid particulate material mass along preselected locales of the securing arrangement.
