Abstract
Abstract A guide for aiding a person unskilled as a programmer to convert information displayed in a preselected matrix into a form which is acceptable to a computer. The guide sets forth pertinent computer language and instructions necessary for the introduction of specific classes of data into an accompanying program without prior computer training of the operator. The classes of data to be introduced under specific instructions on the guide are determined for the operator by the location of the data in the preselected matrix.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
88 words
A guide for aiding in the translation of data to a form acceptable to computers, comprising a data receiving section adapted to receive data arranged in predetermined matrices separate from said guide; an instruction section, said instruction section being in predeterined relationship with said data receiving section in order that said instruction section may be aligned with data received by said data receiving section, said instruction section including predetermined statements arranged to provide a direct reading of the separate, aligned data in a form acceptable to a computer.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
12 words
The device of claim 1 wherein said guide is a flat sheet.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
22 words
The device of claim 1 wherein said data receiving section is a substantially clear sheet sized to expose the preselected data matrices.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
17 words
The device of claim 1 wherein said instruction section includes opaque sheet material having printed indicia thereon.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
24 words
The device of claim 4 wherein said instruction section further includes guide lines associating said printed indicia with positions on said data receiving section.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
120 words
A guide for aiding in the translation of data into a form acceptable to computers, comprising a sheet having a first section, said first section being substantially transparent, and a second section, said second section being opaque; printed indicia located on said second section, said printed indicia including predetermined statements used to input data into a computer program; and guide lines for tying segments of said printed indicia to positions on said first section, said positions being located on said first section to cooperate with data arranged in a predetermined matrices separate from said guide, said printed indicia thereby providing for a direct reading of the separate, data arranged in the predetermined matrices in a form acceptable to a computer.
