Abstract
Abstract A mounting arrangement for a fuel injector on an engine intake manifold includes a sealing ring engaged against a shoulder in a bore in the manifold. An abutment plate is mounted by a bolt or bolts on the manifold and a spring is disposed between the abutment plate and a flexible ring disposed in a groove in the injector. The flexible ring is slidably received in a further bore in the manifold said further bore being co-axial with the first-mentioned bore. The novel mounting arrangement permits a good seal to be obtained between the injector and the manifold without the necessity of employing close tolerance machining.
