Abstract

Abstract A method of manufacturing a heat-adhesive composite film of heat resisting polymers, such as polyimides, comprising applying a solution of a cresol-soluble, heterocyclic ring-containing polymer to at least one surface of a heat resisting support film formed from a solution of a heterocyclic ring-containing polymer which is soluble in aprotic polar solvents, such as Nmethylpyrrolidone, dimethylacetamide and dimethylformamide, but insoluble in cresols, and evaporating the solvent in the coating layer until the residual solvent content is reduced to 20% by weight or less based on the weight of the solid content in the solution to form a heat-adhesive layer, is disclosed.
