Abstract
Abstract An improved process is described for the ''''preautoclaved'''' production of calcium silicate hydrate thermal insulation. The improvement comprises the incorporation into the slurry of calcium silicate hydrate crystals 1-10 weight percent of poly(ethylene terephthalate) fibers of defined size. An improved insulation product containing these fibers is also described. In a preferred form, the slurry and product also contain glass fiber.
