Abstract

Abstract Blends of linear water-dissipatable polyesters and aliphatic or cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acids, said water-dissipatable polyesters being derived from at least one dicarboxylic acid component, at least one diol component, at least 20 mole percent of said diol being a poly(ethylene glycol), and a difunctional monomer containing a -SO3M group attached to an aromatic nucleus, wherein M is hydrogen or a metal ion. These blends are useful as hot-melt sizes for textile yarns, and other products which can be applied from a melt and then dissolved, dispersed or otherwise dissipated in cold water, hot water, or aqueous solutions.
