Abstract

Abstract The distance traversed by a spin-stabilized projectile is determined by a pendulum attached inside the fuze of the projectile so that each complete swing of the pendulum is equal or proportional to one complete revolution of the spinning shell. The distance traversed by the projectile is determined from reading of the number of complete cycles (frequency) made by the pendulum which, in turn, is equal to the number of revolutions of the spinning shell.
