Claim 1
Independent Claim 115 words
A PROCESS FOR REPAIRING DAMAGED SECTIONS OF A HYDROLYZED COPOLYMER OF A PERFLUORINATED HYDROCARBON CONTAINING FROM TWO TO FIVE CARBON ATOMS AND A FLUOROSULFONATED PERFLUOROVINVLETHER WHICH COMPRISES A. FORMING A SOLUTION OF A SECOND HYDROLYZED COPOLYMER OF A PERFLUORINATED HYDROCARBON CONTAINING FROM 2 TO 5 CARBON ATOMS AND A FLUOROSULFONATED PERFLUOROVINYL ETHER, SAID SECOND COPOLYMER HAVING A LOWER EQUIVALENT WEIGHT THAN SAID DAMAGED COPOLYMER IN A LOWER HYDROCARBON ALKANOL, B. WETTING THE AREA ADJACENT TO THE DAMAGED AREA OF THE DAMAGED COPOLYMER, C. COVERING THE WETTED AREA WITH A PATH OF HYDROLYZED COPOLYMER OF THE SAME EQUIVALENT WEIGHT AS THAT OF SAID DAMAGE COPOLYMER AND D. REMOVING THE LOWER ALKANOL SOLVENT FROM THE COVERED AREA.
