Abstract

Abstract Apparatus for mixing liquids of different specific gravity comprising a source of sample liquid, the specific gravity of which is to be controlled, and a source of less dense liquid each being connected to means adapted to control mixing of the liquids to maintain a predetermined specific gravity. The control means comprises a U-shaped tube, one leg containing control liquid, having a desired specific gravity, and the other leg having sample solution circulating therethrough. As the specific gravity of the sample solution changes the surface of control liquid makes and breaks contact with an electrode connected to apparatus to eject the less dense liquid into the sample solution.
