Abstract
Abstract A photosensitive member is composed of an electrode layer, a photoconductive layer responsive to visible light and an ultraviolet photoconductive, electrically insulating layer. The photoconductive layer is irradiated by visible light from an object to be reproduced simultaneously with the negative corona charging of the electrically insulating layer to form an electrostatic latent image on the latter. At the same time, a positive voltage is applied to the electrode layer. The application of this voltage can also be accomplished during dry development of the image.
