Claim 1
Independent Claim
56 words
A process for drying resin particles containing moisture which comprises subjecting said resin particles to microwave energy tuned to a frequency of 2,400-2,500 MHz while subjecting said resin particles to a partial pressure of 20 inches or less H2O and maintaining the molecular temperature of the moisture greater than the melting point of said resin particles.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
16 words
The process according to claim 1 wherein said particles are 1 or less inches in thickness.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
18 words
The process according to claim 1 wherein said particles are tumbled while being subjected to said microwave energy.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
32 words
The process according to claim 1 wherein said resin is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polybutylenes, polyvinyl acetates, ABS resins, acrylics, cellulosics, polycarbonates, polystyrene, ethyl cellulose and nylon.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
81 words
In a process for molding a resinous article wherein said process includes drying resin particles prior to molding said resin particles, the improvement which comprises drying said resin particles by the process of subjecting said resin particles to microwave energy tuned to a frequency of 2,400 to 2,500 MHz while subjecting said resin particles to a partial pressure of 20 inches or less H2O and maintaining the molecular temperature of the moisture greater than the melting point of said resin particles.

Claim 8
Dependent Claim
16 words
The improvement according to claim 5 wherein said particles are 1 or less inches in thickness.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
22 words
The improvement according to claim 5 wherein said particles are tumbled while being subjected to said microwave energy and said partial vacuum.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
33 words
The improvement according to claim 5 where in said resin is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polybutylenes, polyvinyl acetates, ABS resins, acrylics, cellulosics, polycarbonates, polystyrene, ethyl cellulose and nylon.
