Abstract SULFUR AND/OR SULFUROUS ANHYDRIDE ARE MANUFACTURE BY REACTING HYDROGEN SULFIDE OR AMMONIUM SULFIDE WITH AN AMONIUM SALT OF AN OXYGENATED SULFUR ACID. THE IMPROVEMENT CONSISTS OF CARRYING OUT THE REACTION WITHIN MOLTEN SULUR, WHEREBY CORROSION IS CONSIDERABLY REDUCED.
