Abstract RUBBER-CONTAINING INTERPOLYMERS ARE PREPARED BY THE SUSPENSION POLYMERIZATION OF VINYL CHLORIDE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN AQUEOUS EMULSION OF PARTICLES COMPRISING A CROSSLINKED ACRYLIC RUBBER HAVING A TG OF LESS THAN ABOUT 25:C. THE RESULTING INTERPOLYMER PARTICLES ARE PARTICULARLY USEFUL AS HIGH IMPACT PLASTICS AND AS MODIFIERS FOR THE REINFORCEMENT OF RELATIVELY RIGID TYPES OF PLASTICS.
