Abstract
Abstract Fast cooking apparatus for dosed quantities of foodstuffs comprises a dosing device for the introduction, into a pressurized cooking chamber a desired quantity of food which is cooked under pressure at temperatures of over 100* C. The cooked food is conveyed, by the pressure within the cooker, into a centrifugal separator, wherein the excess of cooking water and its vapour are removed from the cooked food.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim
91 words
Apparatus for cooking, in hot water, metered quantities of foodstuffs such as rice, noodles and the like, including a pressurized cooking chamber provided with means to maintain, in said chamber, pre-selected water pressures and temperatures, said chamber having a first opening for the introduction of raw foodstuff and a second opening for the extraction of cooked food characterized by a centrifugal separating means connected to the extraction opening of the cooking chamber to receive cooked food from the chamber, separate cooking water therefrom and absorb kinetic energy developed by the food.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim

Apparatus for cooking, in hot water, metered quantities of foodstuffs such as rice, noodles and the like, including a pressurized cooking chamber provided with means to maintain, in said chamber, pre-selected water pressures and temperatures, said chamber having a first opening for the introduction of raw foodstuff and a second opening for the extraction of cooked food characterized by a centrifugal separating means connected to the extraction opening of the cooking chamber to receive cooked food from the chamber, separate cooking water therefrom and absorb kinetic energy developed by the food.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
31 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cooking chamber comprises a main chamber and an elongate pre-cooking chamber having a cross-section which is smaller than that of the main chamber.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
38 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 2, wherein the cooking chamber has a vapour escape outlet controlled by obturating means, the outlet being dimensioned and configured to prevent the escape of foodstuff from the chamber when vapour is released.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
38 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 2, wherein the two chambers have coincident and aligned axes, and mixing means is carried by a bottom wall of the main chamber and has a rotational axis in a substantially vertical plane.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
23 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 1, whereiN the cooking chamber is provided with mixing means to mix the foodstuff during the cooking operation.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
41 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 1 wherein the centrigual separator is provided with a drainage opening to drain excess water therefrom and at the bottom of the separator, with a discharge assembly for removing cooked food by gravity from the separator.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
40 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 6, wherein the drainage opening is formed by adjustable members to vary the position of said opening with respect to the separator in order to vary the quantity of liquid maintained in the cooked food.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
32 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 1 wherein a duct connecting the cooking chamber to the centrifugal separator comprises members for delivering metered quantities of dressings or the like into the cooked food.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
40 words
Apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the metering means comprises a container provided with members for conveying filamentary foodstuffs towards an outlet duct at the bottom to said container, said container being provided with a blade movable across the container.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
38 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 9, wherein the blade is in the shape of a sector to facilitate penetration into a pile of filamentary foodstuff present in the container, along an inclined path with respect to the material.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
57 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 9, wherein the container includes a wedge-shaped block for controlling the supply of filamentary material to the discharge duct situated below, said container being inclined to the vertical in such a way that one end of the pile of filamentary material contained therein will rest against a front wall of said container.
