Abstract

Abstract A sulfur vulcanizable blend having improved properties is obtained by blending from 40 to 60 parts by weight of a solution polymerized copolymer of butadiene and styrene, from 10 to 55 parts by weight of an emulsion polymerized copolymer of butadiene and styrene, from 25 to 45 parts by weight of a termpolymer of ethylene, propylene and a diene comonomer, from 40 to 70 parts by weight of an extender oil per 100 parts by weight of total polymer, and from 120 to 200 parts by weight of carbon black per 100 parts by weight of total polymer.
