Abstract
Abstract A process of producing metallic iron concentrate and titanium oxide concentrates from titaniferous ores which process comprises mixing the ore with flux and reducing the mixture with solid carbonaceous material without sintering or melting. The reduced material may be separated into metallic iron and titanium oxide concentrates by physical means.
