Tubocurarine antigens and antibodies specific therefor

Abstract

Abstract Antigens are prepared by coupling tubocurarine derivatives to immunogenic carrier materials. The coupling is effected via a linking group derived from an amino acid involving an azo link to the tubocurare moiety and an amide linkage to the immunogenic carrier material. In preferred embodiments, proteins are used as the carrier materials. The resulting antigens produce immunological effects when injected into host animals, including the formation of antibodies specific for tubocurarine components in biological fluids.
