IN THE ABOVE FORMULA R REPRESENTS A HYDROGEN ATOM OR A LOWER ALKYL RADICAL, OR A LOWER ALKOXY RADICAL, Y REPRESENTS AN OXYGEN OR SULFUR ATOM AND X IS A CHLORINE OR BROMINE ATOM OR THE TRIFLUOROMETHYL RADICAL. THEY ARE ESPECIALLY SUITED TO CONTROL THE GROWTH AND PROLIFERATION OF WEEDS IN CROPS OF CEREALS.
