Abstract
Abstract An integrated process is provided wherein a nickel(0) complexcatalyzed oligomerization and a nickel(II) complex-catalyzed dimerization are coordinated such that the nickel(0) oligomerization catalyst is recovered after use in the nickel(II) complex form which is then utilized as a dimerization catalyst.

The process according to claim 1 wherein reactants of step (a) are contacted at a temperature of from -20* C. to 150* C., under a pressure of from 1 to 100 psig for a period of up to 48 hours, and the dimerization process of step (d) is at a temperature of from -25 to 125* C. under a pressure of 1 to 150 psig for a period of up to 24 hours.
