Abstract
Abstract A nuclear fuel assembly for a liquid metal cooled fast reactor comprises a bundle of fuel pins in a shroud. Each pin carries a helical spacer fixing the minimum spacing between each pin and the adjacent pins or the shroud. Localized head losses along the lateral subchannels are produced by wires disposed parallel to the inner wall of the shroud and obliquely with respect to the axes of the pins.
