Abstract
Abstract Manufacture of magnetic recording media by preparing a dispersion of particulate magnetic pigment in a binder based on a mixture of polycondensates with the addition of organic solvents and, optionally, conventional additives, applying a coating of said dispersion to the substrate and finally drying or curing the coating. The binder used for the dispersion of magnetic pigment consists of a mixture of phenol/formaldehyde condensates and thermoplastic polyester of terephthalic and isophthalic acids and ethylene glycol and neopentyl glycol.
