Abstract A PROCESS FOR PREPARING URANIA-PUTONIA MICROSPHERES BY IMPREGNATING A MATRIX OF URANIA WITH A PLUTONIUM SALT SOLUTION. THE ABSORBED PLUTONIUM IS PRECIPITATED IN THE PORES OF THE URANIA MICROSPHERES WITH A SUITABLE PRECIPITANT. THE IMPREGNATED MICROSPHERES ARE THEN WASHED, DRIED AND SINTERED TO RECOVER THE MIXED OXIDE MICROSPHERES.
