Abstract
Abstract A neutron and gamma flux detector having a prompt response in providing an electrical current when disposed in neutron and gamma flux is provided, comprising a central emitter of platinum, cerium, osmiun or tantalum, compressed magnesium oxide electrical insulation around the emitter, and an Inconel outer tubular collector enclosing the emitter and spaced from it by the electrical insulation.
