Abstract

Abstract The inputs of a differential amplifier are connected across a current-sensing resistor that is connected in series with an array of flash lamps adapted to be sequentially flashed, one at a time per flash picture. The differential amplifier produces an output signal in response to current flow to a lamp being flashed. An enabling circuit prevents the differential amplifier from consuming battery current until a trigger signal occurs to initiate flashing of a lamp, and a diode voltage reference circuit improves the accuracy of operation.
