Abstract Flame-retardant compositions which do not ''''plate-out'''' on metal surfaces comprising (A) monophosphonium halides, diphosphonium halides or various diphosphoniacyclohexane dibromides and diiodides, (B) ammonium polyphosphate, and (C) an alkoxyalkanolamine and polyolefins containing said compositions, are disclosed.
